- Speed crystallography...
-
Dear All,
Please form 4 people teams; two of the teams need to be 5 persons, however. Once you decide on the teams, send me the names. As I noted in class here are the rules:
You need to come with at least 4 close packed planes + extra cations of varying sizes. The competition will involve speed crystallography: I will announce a unit cell and you will need to build using the 4 layers + other stuff. Each two teams will face each other. I am not sure yet whether it will be single or double elimination... I suspect it will be the latter... The list of eligible unit cells can be found in Table 3.3. Cheers. Michel
- Assignment Due Week 7
-
Dear All,
On Tuesday Feb. 19, I would like each of you to submit to me electronically a report - in pdf - that has something to do with this class. More specifically go out there and find a paper in which ANY of the ideas discussed in class helped you understand it. The report should ncontain the following:
Maximum one page discussing what that idea(s) was/were and how it helped you understand the paper. The more ideas the better and the higher grade.
Attach a pdf copy of the paper.
Hopefully this makes sense. If not let me know. Cheers. Michel
