I made a mistake in problem 2f. If you assume 6 bonds are broken, then the modulus I come up with is
0.72 GPa which is quite reasonable indeed. In class I said it was 18 GPa!!
The answer of problem 6e is 0.012.
For next week you have a bit to do. Resubmit the exam = optional
2 hand-in questions in lieu of the quiz left in Lake Louise.
A double quiz on Chs. 5 and 7!! Have fun and don't work too hard :-) MB
