POSITION: Market Development Manager
REPORTS TO: Vice President of Sales
SUMMARY: Assume complete management responsibility for market development of existing and new specialty products into new profitable markets. Develop marketing plans, sales strategies, and action plans for identified targets of opportunity that clearly define objectives, goals, strategies, tactics, timelines and action assignments. Primary mission is to take products from concept to commercialization
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develop and execute tactical marketing growth plans and programs for new high margin product opportunities capitalizing on the company’s core strengths.
• Plan and orchestrate commercial development based on knowledge of specialty chemicals marketplace.
• Target and identify new products, product line extensions, and future market opportunities for existing and potential customers that will result in sales growth.
• Assure the company experiences growth which maintains and enhances its technical superiority, sales, and profitability through further market penetration and new product introduction.
• Maintain on-going knowledge of trends in technology affecting the company’s products and critical revenue or expected revenue.
• Assure that market intelligence is received and analyzed so that market opportunities may be capitalized on as they occur and the effects of competitive activity may be minimized.
• Organize information pertinent to current and future market opportunities/requirements in a manner that results in development of marketing/new business plans.
• Collaborate with product development staff to shepherd new product development process. Functioning as project manager for these efforts, initiate the process; develop proposals for market domain; define specifications, targets, and timeline; obtain necessary management approvals and execute plan. Interface with others as necessary to ensure that goals are achieved within the target timeframe.
• Make presentations to potential new customers and industry groups.
• Assist in managing product costing and pricing.
• Plan and execute product launches.
• Visit key customers on a regular basis and interface with their development staffs to remain abreast of their needs and technology trends
• Orchestrate and implement comprehensive media/advertising campaigns to build company’s image.
• Assure that marketing personnel within the division are properly trained, directed, and motivated to achieve or exceed growth objectives.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Minimum ten (10) years of professional employment experience with at least five (5) years in product marketing, business development or market development with a proven track record of success.
• Strong strategic and tactical marketing skills, combined with the ability to develop and implement plans to build profitable sales volume.
• Record of success in leading an organization’s product management to successful expansion of product lines and services.
• Entrepreneurial vision in the quest for new market opportunities and innovative uses for company’s products and manufacturing capacity.
• Ability to inspire an entrepreneurial dedication to a ‘best practices’ philosophy throughout the organization.

The client is seeking a highly analytical and versatile organometallic or materials chemist to develop formulations
for its nanocrystals-based Flash memory
project. In this role, as a key member of a technical team, you will be
responsible for identifying and incorporating
components in the formulation that
enables lithographic patterning of nanoparticles. Additional responsibilities
include synthesis (air-free), characterization (TEM, UV-Vis, FTIR, NMR, TGA),
and stability testing of nanoparticles.
Position Qualifications
· Candidates should have an advanced degree
in Chemistry or Material Science and at least 3-5
years of working experience in
related areas.
· Extensive background in polymerization
chemistry and hands-on experience with photo-resists development are required.
· Excellent communications skills both verbal
