We currently have an exciting opening for a scientist to join the Pharmaceutical R&D team based out of West Point, PA.
Under the supervision of more experienced scientists, you will have the opportunity to:
• Design and characterize solid oral dosage forms (tablets, capsules, oral suspensions, and controlled-release formulations)
• Perform pharmaceutical composition definition
• Work on process development
• Generate data on physico-chemical and mechanical properties
• Support formulation development
• Actively participate in drug development teams
• Explore freedom of operation and new drug delivery technologies
Qualifications
M.S (0-3 yrs) or B.S. (0-5 yrs) in Pharmaceutics, Chemistry, Material Science or Chemical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
Experience in formulation development, characterization of diverse dosage forms for various routes of administration and understanding of key physicochemical and mechanical properties is desirable. Hands on experience with analytical techniques like HPLC, dissolution tester is desirable, but not required. Ability to work with a group of people with diverse backgrounds is essential. Strong communication skills, great interpersonal skills and a motivation to work in a team environment are critical.
