METALLURGIST JOB OPENINGS:
   
ENTRY LEVEL METALLURGIST  - Several metals producers throughout the country are seeking recent grads (or those about to graduate in May or June 2008).  Each company is very financially sound, paying an excellent salary and benefits.  Locations of positions are: VA, New York State, GA, NC, IN,  PA, NE,  SC,  TX,  AR, UT. Positions are in R&D, process,  or operations.
Candidates should have a  degree in Material Science or Metallurgy and have an interest in working in the metals industry.
 
MELT SHOP METALLURGIST:  Located in NE OH with a premier metals producer. .  Will maintain, optimize and implement steelmaking and casting procedures.  Develop and maintain standard operating procedures.  Provide tech support and  coaching of operators and managers in metallurgical processes.  Analyze data to develop products and practices.  Use problem solving methods , statistics, participate in brain storming sessions and conduct designed experiments to reduce variations.  Keep abreast of recent developments in technology and equipments through internal and external benchmarking, technical papers. Must have a degree in Metallurgy and 3-5 years experience.
 
ENTRY LEVEL Process Metallurgist:  Metals producer in the South is seeking a degreed candidate (BS Metallurgical Eng. or Material Sci).  Recent grad or some experience. Will do process engineering and be involved in developing and updating processes in  continuous casting,  and Electric Arc Furnace steelmaking, bar mill, ladle metallurgy furnace steelmaking.  Must be willing to work in a mill environment.  Salary is competitive within the industry.  Plus outstanding benefits including 401k and unlimited career growth (current Plant Manager is a degreed metallurgist).  Same company has a division in IN that is looking for a similar back ground candidate.
   
 MELT SHOP METALLURGIST:  Metals producer in southern Ohio seeking a
degreed metallurgist  (can be either BS or B. Eng in Metallurgy or
Materials Science).  3-5 years background in melting preferred.  Successful candidate will supervise 4 metallurgical lab technicians, involved in continuous caster and
reheat furnace steelmaking processes.
