Job description

Conduct materials testing and analysis such as mechanical testing, metallography, powder particle size and surface area analysis, etc.
Conduct daily tests with various physical testing procedures.
Perform calculations on raw testing data, enter results into databases.
Prepare reports detailing tests conducted and results as required.
Maintain records of experimental raw data and testing conditions.
Develop and improve physical testing methods. Review, revise, and maintain testing procedure specifications.
Participate in test interpretation with supervisors and customers.
Maintain laboratory equipment and facilities.
Keep clean, safe laboratory environment.

Requirements

A minimum of an associate degree in an engineering, material science or related field.
Ability to accurately follow detailed test procedures and record data.
Good computer skills including MS Office.
Be responsible and a team player, high level of motivation and energy.
Ability of lifting and/or moving up to 25 lbs., occasionally up to 40 lbs.

PREFERRED:
Metallography experience.
Experience with laboratory information management and document control systems.

U.S. CITIZENSHIP IS REQUIRED.
