Y-Carbon, Inc. seeks a professional and innovative individual for our R&D Manager position. Basic Function:
•    Lead and direct all testing and related documentation activities in the lab.
•    Responsible for establishing testing protocols and ensure that test results are repeatable, accurate and documented in a systemized manner.
•    Responsible for generating designs of experimentation and templates for internal and external data presentation.
•    Oversee operation of lab equipments and other tests as needed or requested.
•    Assist in research and development by working with Chief Technology Officer on various projects.
•    Perform laboratory experiments to assist in research and development of new materials and processes.

Requirements:
•    Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Materials Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related field.
•    Knowledge of materials chemistry, materials characterization, electrochemical characterization, material synthesis and related process scale up a plus.
•    Laboratory operations experience required, preferably in the materials or chemistry or industrial process engineering.
•    Ability to analyze scientific data generated from the lab or external testing.
•    Ability to lead and potentially direct lab staff.
•    Experience in leading SBIR/STTR program a plus.
•    Requires efficient written and oral communication, organizational and time management skills; as well as to be detail-oriented and ability to multi-task.
•    3 - 5 years of relevant experience.
