We provide support to all DuPont manufacturing operations in the U.S. and global, capital projects, R&amp;amp;D, and Marketing for new business development. The current need is for a specialist in metallurgy and failure analysis. This individual will provide support to manufacturing, engineering and research organizations across the DuPont Co. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0in 0in 0pt;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Arial;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0in 0in 0pt;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Arial;"&gt;Work responsibilities include &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0in 0in 0pt;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Arial;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;ul style="margin-top:0in;"&gt;&lt;li class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0in 0in 0pt;tab-stops:list .5in;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Arial;"&gt;Perform detailed physical failure analyses with timely reports to expedite the application of findings to the benefit of plant performance. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0in 0in 0pt;tab-stops:list .5in;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Arial;"&gt;Application of metallurgy, materials science and characterization technology to investigate and improve the performance of materials in real usage. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0in 0in 0pt;tab-stops:list .5in;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Arial;"&gt;Supervision of the materials characterization and failure analysis lab and personnel located at the DuPont Experimental Station, Wilmington, DE.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0in 0in 0pt;tab-stops:list .5in;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Arial;"&gt;Use and development of materials characterization techniques &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0in 0in 0pt;tab-stops:list .5in;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Arial;"&gt;Promote physical failure analysis and materials characterization within the Corporation. Some U.S. and International travel may be involved, since the coordination and presentation of results of the work might be done at plant and vendor locations.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0in 0in 0pt;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Arial;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0in 0in 0pt;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Arial;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;REQUIREMENTS:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0in 0in 0pt;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Arial;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0in 0in 0pt;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Arial;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;A B.S. degree in Metallurgy, Materials Science or Materials Engineering with 5 to 10 years of experience or a MS or Ph.D. with 5 years of experience in failure analysis and materials characterization is required for this position.
