PENTRON CERAMICS, INC., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Ivoclar Vivadent, Inc., is a leading manufacturer of dental ceramics. We offer an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or more experienced engineer with educational focus or some experience in zirconia ceramics. The position will be located at our Somerset, NJ facility.

We are looking for energetic hands-on person who will be trained in R&D Department under direction of Product Development Engineer for about half a year, and then will head our zirconia blanks production for dental CAD/CAM systems. This is an exciting new area borne out of Digital revolution in dentistry and we are moving ahead fast with the first product launches scheduled for March-April 2008. Excellent opportunity for the right individual, fast track to a supervisory role in our Production Department. Competitive salary and benefits.

REQUIREMENTS:
•   Bachelors Degree in Ceramic Engineering or Materials Science & Engineering. We will also consider seniors graduating early next year with an option to arrange an internship for one or two days a week until graduation.
•   Educational focus or previous work/project experience in zirconia (YTZP) ceramics preferred.
•   Excellent organizational skills.
•   Ability to work independently, hands-on approach
•   Good leadership and interpersonal skills.
•   Computer literacy in Windows, MS Word and Excel

JOB DUTIES: Work under the overall direction of the VP of R & D and specifically under a Group Leader of the company in research/process development of new and improved company products. Initial assignment variable, depending on skill levels and interest. Company uses this position as a springboard to other more responsible positions.

COMPANY INFORMATION: Company is located in New York State, and is a primary producer of specialty steel products.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: B.S or M.S. degree in Materials/Metallurgical Engineering required. 2-5 years experience in similar or related metals field very helpful. Co-op/internship/summer experience in metals field, preferably in the specialty metals field will count. Excellent interpersonal and communications skills also required.
